How should I care for my tissue culture plants upon arrival?
ANS: To successfully acclimate your tissue culture plantlets, begin by leaving them undisturbed for the first 1-2 days to adjust to the new temperature, which should be between 25-30 °C. Next, prepare a fungicide solution (e.g., Captain, carbendazim, or betadine) and a rooting hormone, then gently clean the plantlets by removing any obstructive materials and gel from their roots. Immerse the plantlets in the mixed solution for 3-5 minutes, ensuring they are thoroughly dried afterward. Prepare the planting material and place the plantlets into pots, burying them at least 2 inches deep. Place the potted plantlets in an airtight container, keeping them in a shaded area away from direct sunlight for 3-4 weeks. Gradually introduce them to ambient air over the next 7-10 days until they are fully acclimatized.
